wow this is very similar to my situation

cept my ex who moved away.. isn't all that trustworthy

he moved a year and a bit ago..about 8 hours away and he hasn't come to visit or anything..we talked on the phone constantly..probably about 1-2 hours a day when we could.. we were literally madly in love for the time he was here and i miss him so much..till this day

i dated a few guys while he was gone..but no one compared to him.

not even close..

i felt guilty though because he never even dated anyone else.. i'm sure he's liked some girls though.

my problem was also that i just moved 2 hours away from where he now lives and i was hoping that we could possibly start things up again..but he STILL hasnt made the efffort to come visit and he JUST recently got himself a girlfriend

i understand your jealousy.. even though it is ridiculous to think of a long distance relationship..the thought of them being with someone else just isn't pleasant..

my advice is stay away from long distance. it doesn't do either person any good..

just stay really close friends and maybe one day in the future things will work out..hopfeully for me too

Well you are right on one thing, I do think you're too young, but who knows you 2 know more about your feelings for each other then I do, so lets roll with it. For starters, it is possible to love and like someone, if you're the one he loves then dont worry about the one he likes as long as he is a trustworthy guy. Now as far as the talk about commitment, well just run it by him some people dont mind long distance relationships (yes they suck) but it gives people the chance to get to know one another on a more personal level, no physical conflicts to mess stuff up. So I would just call him and let him know that you would like for you to be the only girl in his life and would like to be his girlfriend. How he responds is up to him, but you will never know unless you try. Hope this helps

Oh, Meg. You're going to be dating a lot of boys that DO live near you during your teenage and high school years. You should absolutely keep your friend in your life and the close relationship you have developed, but you need to know that you can't geographically be together now or for quite a while. If it's meant to be down the line, it will be. But for now, have fun with your friends and be open to having other crushes and boyfriends in your town. Just let her do what she wants to do. Like you said, she still has a lot of growing up to do. A lot of people have fallen in love before ever meeting the other. Internet, or online gaming in this case, relationships give people a chance to bond on an emotional level through getting know each other's personalities before ever meeting. At this age, she isn't in love "with him". She is in love with the thought of him. The phase will eventually pass. Let her live it out.

I have been feeling sad and alone right now. I really can not take to my friends. They would tell everyone what I said. The whole school would know. I can only talk to one girl on myspace. I love my friends and family to much to kill myself. Some times I want to make myself get hit by a car really bad. I was talking to a conuclar but I stopped. It was really not helping me. OK its time to let your family know you are having a bad time. That's what family is for. Do you have a sister or brother? Cousin, or Mom %26amp; Dad? IF so think how you would feel if they acted on the same emotions that you are having now.

I have been there before and I too once considered suicide. This past year has been difficult for me because I have been very ill, my parents said they don't love each other, my dad lost his job so I have been trying to support him (I'm only 22) and my boy friend of 10 months left me because I was too much of a burden to him.

my best friend moved to new york, we had known eachother for... about 3 years, i met him in 6th grade, we were the BEST OF FRIENDS EVER EVER EVER, and we still are,, we talk all the time on aim and myspace, he said he was going to visit his father, (his father lives where i live) and asked me to hang out with him... Well, I am not sure what the question is. But I am going to guess it is why did he cry? My first reaction is that he might be gay. OR, he's reallly REALLY in love with you and misses you. Firstly, I completely agree that you may truly love you friend Anthony- however, I think its just a love for a friend, and not a boyfriend/girlfriend love. The thing is, you are too young to really know what love is in a relationship... yes that it my opinion, but there are many factors of responsibilities that you haven't been exposed to yet. I mean, you can not even legally work yet... Things change when you grow older.. maturity, jobs, college, and more responsibilities.

Stay close friends with him, for sure. And honestly, you shouldn't make any future predictions for you two... simply, you need to say, "we'll see what happens", and just stay friends with him. ok, well my best friend moved to new york about 2-3 years ago. we talked a lot on aim and myspace, and we both found out we like eachother, i trust him with my life. he is the best boy i know. well he was supposed to visit next week bc his dad lives here, but it ends up that he cant come bc his dad has to go away on bussiness. he told me he really wants to see me, and asked me what my reaction would be when i see him i said i will probably be soooo happy and hug him, he said i cant wait for that hug! ... i was also going to kiss him on the cheek for the first time. well, he told me he loved me, now we have been friends for about 4 years. and i love him too.. but before my friend told me he loved me.. i liked another boy too, who was on my brothers baseball team.. he is also in my grade, and i am going to his school next year, bc i got transfered.. everyone incluing my parents and brother says he likes me .. and someone said he is going to ask me to be his girlfriend.. but i dont want..

Ok, as a 21 year old, trust me when I say, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT LOVE IS!!! I'm sorry, but you just haven't had the chance to truly experience it. What you feel for Anthony is just the closest thing you've ever felt to love. But you don't love him and he doesn't love you. Don't worry, you'll figure that out.

But in the mean time, I would go for guys that are in your area. Don't focus on love yet, you're to young. Just have fun. Go on dates, be yourself, and just have a good time. Don't worry about getting involved romantically. It's to much drama and at your age, it WILL ALWAYS end in heartbreak. So just protect yourself by not getting to attached.

I hope you at least read this and think about my point. Anyone whose truly been heartbroken and/or in love, will probably agree with me.

That's where someone needs to be mature and decide if a long distance relationship is even a reasonable thing. If your friend is a truly nice guy he wouldn't let you wait your life away for him becaue he should know that it's mean. However, I wouldn't think it would be so easy to date this other guy because you love your friend. I'd cool it on the relationship with the friend for a couple of years or until he's old enough or parents can reconsider where he should live.

Well first of all, it doesn't matter how old you are. if your 20 doesnt mean you have the right to love then. everyone loves at a young age. now it seems like you have a much better relationship with anthony, and if you trust him with your life isnt that enough? also the boy that lives close to you would be VERY tempting i guess but be strong if you truley love anthony. even though anthony lives far away it seems like it could work out. ask anthony to be your boyfriend and since you have AIM and myspace seems like you guys are keeping good touch. but really its your choice. the boy you love and adore but lives far away. or the boy that you have SOME feelings for a lives close.

well a long distance relationship is never good... especially when you're that young. Anthony may "love" you now but he a 13 year old and far away. He will find another girl easily where he lives now. I think you should still remain close friends. Talk online, phone, see him when he visits etc. When you transfer to the new school you should talk to the new kid there, find out what he's about. You may end up falling completely for him. When I was your age I went out with a kid in my grade for three years, until we were sophomores. We're still good friends and we're both 21 now. Who knows what will happen in the long run, but you are way too young to talk about forever now, just see what happens. Test the waters. Definitely don't waste your life on a long distance relationship because you're very young yet, stay friends with Anthony though.
